Dog Collar Size Chart
| Size | Fits neck | Typical dogs |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 8.5" – 12.5" | Toy breeds, small puppies |
| Medium | 11.5" – 17.5" | Beagles, terriers, small to mid breeds |
| Large | 13" – 21" | Labs, retrievers, mid to large breeds |
| XL | 16" – 27" | Large and giant breeds |
Between two sizes? Pick the larger one if your dog is still growing, and the smaller one if your dog has a slim neck.
How to Measure Your Dog's Neck
- Use a soft tape measure, or a piece of string you can lay against a ruler.
- Wrap it around the middle of your dog's neck, where the collar normally sits.
- Slide two fingers under the tape. It should be snug but not tight.
- Read the measurement and match it to the chart above.
Which Width Is Right: 1" or 1.5"?
Both widths are strong enough for big dogs, so choose the look you like. A 1" collar is lighter and works on every size of dog. A 1.5" collar is wider and bolder.
Dog Leash Sizes
- 4 ft leash: keeps your dog close. Good for city walks, busy sidewalks and training.
- 6 ft leash: gives your dog more room to explore on trails and in the park.
- 1" or 1.5" width: a 1" leash is lighter in the hand and still strong enough for big dogs. A 1.5" leash gives a wider grip and a bolder look.
